CEI Awning is a custom designed fabric awning manufacturer located at 2324 Denison Avenue in Cleveland, OH. CEI Awning is a division of Canvas Exchange, Inc., which started out creating boat covers across the North coast in 1984.
When our current President of Canvas Exchange, Inc. joined our company, Hank Proctor, he brought his own personal awning experience to CEI on the manufacturing/installation side as well as some time spent on the supplier end of our industry at The Astrup Company in Cleveland. Hank’s father and brother had been running Huntington Awning for the past several decades and Hank himself learned the awning trade working at Huntington Awning in his teenage and early twenties.
Through our infancy to over a quarter of a century old, CEI Awning has been a small business with customer service and craftmanship as our highest priority while still being able to maintain the “mom and pop shop” charm most companies have now abandoned for the larger volume and higher dollar jobs. We provide a value to you by listening to your needs and using our expertise to craft a personalized solution to those needs with over 26 years of experience, the finest materials available, the best manufacturing technology, and unmatched service. We are not followers of what others are doing in our industry, we don’t want ourselves or our customers to be the test labs, and we will make sure what we do for you meets your absolute satisfaction.
